The Genius
Jerry Goldsmith has been gone only a little less than 3 years. Yet it’s still so hard to imagine a movie-going world without him. The reason is not merely that he was so good at writing music for films, but that he was so good at writing original music for any and every type of film imaginable…everything he touched musically turned to gold even if the film was undeserving of it, maybe even especially. However, the man was fortunate enough to have written music for movies that did deserve it…here are three.

Jerry was a brilliant man. I think his body of work represents what most artists would strive to achieve. I can only hope that bands such as Northern Room, Heritage House, and The Attention could carry on his legacy by aligning their creative forces similarly to how Mr. Goldsmith did. You are missed.
