Apparently Stereogum broke this new track from Hello, Blue Roses, a new Dan Bejar project that I blogged about recently. A very simple song appropriately called Sunny Skies. The album comes out Jan. 22.

I don’t know much about these guys…but the song is pretty good, with the delay guitar that is one of my favorite sounds. I can hear some ambition here, which perks my ears up.
I Don’t Mind Waiting - Stray Borders
By the way, tonight there will be a bunch of singer/songwriters at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, including my favorite Inara George. Even though they’re billing her as a member of Bird and the Bee, I like her solo album much more. Don’t think I can go, but all of you should…it’s part of the Concrete Frequency festival which continues through this week and the next.
